American Flag Cutting Board

The American Flag means a lot of things to a lot of people. This is what this flag means to me. American Flag Cutting Board

This cutting board was one of my most favorite boards I’ve made. Each type of wood used in this cutting board has symbolic meaning.
Walnut

Walnut was used as the stock of almost every weapon used from the Revolutionary War – Korea and is still used today on a select few

Curly Maple

Curly Maple represents the desk and work bench alike. Where generals have written orders without knowing the outcome of the battle but with the betterment of the country in their minds. The workbench where countless hours are spent building a business or perfecting a craft or teaching the next generation the craft that their mentor taught them.

Oak

Oak is an American classic. Strong. Tall. And the backbone of American hardwoods. It also is the wood used to encase the flags of our fallen warriors just as it encases this flag.

Red Padauk

Red Padauk is an imported and beautiful wood representing the blood of immigrants that are an important part of today and in history and, once they became citizens, loved this country and what it stood for they wanted to fight and give back.
